This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of Digiconian (“we”, “us”, or “our”) regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use our website at digiconian.com and our Shopify application, DimPrice. This policy also explains your privacy rights and how applicable law protects you.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

Capitalised terms have meanings defined in this section. These definitions apply whether the terms appear in singular or plural form.

Definitions

  • Company (“we”, “us”, “our”) refers to Digiconian, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
  • DimPrice refers to our Shopify application that enables dimension-based custom pricing for Shopify merchants.
  • Merchant refers to a Shopify store owner who installs and uses the DimPrice application.
  • Storefront Visitor refers to a customer browsing a Merchant’s Shopify store where DimPrice is active.
  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service refers to the Digiconian website (digiconian.com) and the DimPrice Shopify application.
  • Shopify refers to Shopify Inc., the ecommerce platform on which DimPrice operates.
  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically from use of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • You refers to the individual or business entity accessing or using the Service.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data Collected from Merchants (Shopify Store Owners)

When you install DimPrice on your Shopify store, we collect and store the following:

  • Shopify store domain (e.g. yourstore.myshopify.com)
  • Shopify OAuth access token — used to read and update product/variant data via the Shopify Admin API on your behalf. Stored securely and never shared with third parties.
  • Billing plan and subscription status — to enforce plan limits and process payments via Shopify Billing API.
  • Trial start and expiry dates.
  • Product configuration data — the dimension pricing rules (rate per sq unit, min/max dimensions, labels, widget appearance settings) you set for each product.
  • Email address associated with your Shopify account — used only for transactional communications related to your subscription.

2.2 Data Accessed via Shopify Admin API

To power the DimPrice admin dashboard, we access the following data from your Shopify store via the Admin API. This data is not permanently stored on our servers — it is fetched on demand and displayed within the app:

  • Product titles, IDs, images, and variant information
  • Variant pricing (read and temporarily updated when a customer configures a custom-size order)

2.3 Data from Storefront Visitors (Your Customers)

The DimPrice widget runs on your storefront product pages. Regarding your customers:

  • We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII) about your end customers.
  • The widget reads product ID and shop domain from the page context to fetch product configuration. These are not personal data.
  • Dimension values (width, height) entered by customers in the widget are used only for real-time price calculation and are not stored on our servers.
  • We do not set cookies on storefront visitors and do not track their browsing behaviour.

2.4 Website Usage Data (digiconian.com)

When you visit digiconian.com, we may automatically collect standard usage data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages. This is used solely for website analytics and improvement.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate DimPrice — including authenticating your store, loading product configurations, and calculating dimension-based prices.
  • To manage your subscription — including processing billing, enforcing plan limits, and communicating plan changes.
  • To improve our service — analysing aggregate usage patterns to improve features and performance.
  • To communicate with you — sending transactional emails about your account, billing, or important service updates.
  • To comply with legal obligations — including responding to GDPR data requests and Shopify-mandated webhook events.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Shopify Billing

DimPrice uses the Shopify Billing API exclusively for all subscription payments. We do not collect or store your credit card details. All billing is handled by Shopify and subject to Shopify’s privacy policy. You can manage or cancel your subscription from within the DimPrice Settings page in your Shopify admin.

5. GDPR Compliance and Data Subject Rights

DimPrice implements all Shopify-mandated GDPR webhooks:

  • customers/data_request — upon receiving a request, we will provide any customer data associated with your store that we hold. As noted above, we do not store personal data about your customers, so responses will confirm no personal data is held.
  • customers/redact — we will delete any stored customer data associated with a redact request.
  • shop/redact — upon store uninstall and 48 hours passing, we will delete merchant data from our systems (excluding data required for legal/financial compliance, such as billing history).

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — object to our processing of your data.

6. Data Retention

  • Merchant data (store domain, access token, product configurations, plan status) is retained for as long as DimPrice is installed on your store.
  • Upon uninstall, your Shopify access token is immediately revoked and nulled in our database.
  • Billing history is retained for up to 7 years for financial and legal compliance purposes, even after uninstall.
  • Product configuration data is deleted within 48 hours of receiving a shop/redact webhook from Shopify.
  • Website usage data (digiconian.com) is retained for up to 12 months.

7. Data Storage and Security

Merchant data is stored on AWS (Amazon Web Services) infrastructure located in the United States. By installing DimPrice, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

We implement commercially reasonable security measures including:

  • Encrypted HTTPS connections for all data in transit
  • Access tokens stored securely in a PostgreSQL database with restricted access
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Shopify — as required to operate a Shopify application (OAuth, billing, webhook processing).
  • AWS — our hosting provider processes data on our behalf under AWS’s data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or government authority.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will provide notice before such a transfer occurs.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any third-party site. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any site you visit.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date above. For material changes, we will also send notice via email or a prominent notice within the DimPrice app.

Continued use of our Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
